Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda on Friday, June 4, inaugurated ARHI Hospital at Jorabat, marking a landmark moment for healthcare in Meghalaya and the Northeast. The facility is a unit of Far East Wellness Pvt Ltd.
Addressing the gathering, Nadda called the inauguration a significant milestone in healthcare delivery for the region, crediting PM Modi's government for driving substantial development in the health sector across the country.
Nadda also highlighted the Union government's role in mainstreaming Northeast development through initiatives like the Act East Policy, reaffirming the Centre's commitment to bringing the region into the national development mainstream.
Meghalaya Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla noted that the state allocates 8% of its budget to healthcare, above the national average, and thanked the Union government for its support, while Special Guest Ramesh Teli welcomed the hospital's acceptance of the Ayushman Bharat card.
ARHI Hospital offers state-of-the-art facilities including critical care services, a PET-CT scan unit, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, positioning itself as a comprehensive healthcare destination for patients across Meghalaya and the Northeast.
