GUWAHATI: Pijush Hazarika, Cabinet Minister holding key portfolios including Information & Public Relations, Water Resources, and Social Justice & Empowerment, has registered victory from the Jagiroad constituency in the Assam Assembly elections.

Representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Hazarika secured 1,55,129 votes, defeating Bubul Das of the Indian National Congress (INC) by a massive margin of 93,584 votes. Das polled 61,545 votes.
The emphatic win underscores a decisive mandate in favour of Hazarika, with the BJP candidate maintaining a dominant lead throughout the counting process.
The result further strengthens the BJP’s hold in the constituency and reflects strong voter backing for the minister in Jagiroad.
