Assam Jatiya Parishad Leader Rajen Gohain Resigns From Party


 

GUWAHATI: Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) leader and former Union minister Rajen Gohain resigned from the party on Monday, May 18.

Gohain stepped down from both the primary membership of the party and all organisational responsibilities with immediate effect.

In his resignation letter addressed to AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi, Gohain stated that he was resigning due to personal reasons.

“I hereby resign from the primary membership and from all posts and responsibilities associated with the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) with immediate effect due to personal reasons,” the letter stated.

He also expressed gratitude to the party leadership, workers and supporters for their cooperation during his association with the party.

Gohain announced his resignation through a social media post on May 18.
