GUWAHATI: A man was arrested with a handmade gun during a joint operation conducted by the Range Officer of Western Range Raimona and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) inside Ripu Reserve Forest on Tuesday, September 22.

The accused has been identified as Majen Narzary, son of Late Johon Narzary, a resident of Kusumbil FRA.
According to a press release, no wildlife parts were recovered from the accused during the operation.
Narzary was handed over to Gossaigaon Police for registration of a case under the Arms Act. Further investigation is underway.
