GUWAHATI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed former India international player Sairaj Bahutule as the Spin Bowling Coach of the Indian men’s cricket team.

Bahutule, who represented India in two Tests and eight One-Day Internationals (ODI's), brings extensive coaching experience from domestic, franchise, and international cricket. He has previously served as head coach of Vidarbha, Kerala, Gujarat, and Bengal, and has also worked as a spin-bowling coach with IPL franchises Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings.
Bahutule was also a part of the coaching staff of India’s ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup-winning team in 2022 and also contributed to the 2024 campaign. He has additionally worked with India A and the senior men’s team on several assignments and was associated with the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy (now Centre of Excellence) between 2021 and 2024.
Reacting to the appointment, Bahutule said it was a “tremendous honour” to serve the national team once again and expressed his eagerness to work with the players across all formats.
