GUWAHATI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday, May 13, announced the results of the Class 12 board examinations for the year 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 85.20 per cent.

Students who appeared for the Senior Secondary examinations can now access and download their scorecards through the official CBSE result portals.
A total of 17,80,365 students registered for the examination this year. Out of them, 17,68,968 students appeared, while 15,07,109 passed the exams.
The overall pass percentage has witnessed a decline of 3.19 percentage points compared to last year. In 2025, the pass percentage stood at 88.39 per cent, with 14,96,307 students clearing the examination.
Girls outperformed boys once again, registering a pass percentage higher by 6.73 percentage points.
Trivandrum emerged as the top-performing zone with an impressive pass percentage of 95.62 per cent, while Prayagraj recorded the lowest pass percentage at 72.43 per cent.
Students can check their results through the official websites, including cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG Portal.
To download the marksheet, students need to visit the official CBSE results portal and click on the link for “Senior Secondary School Examination (Class XII) 2026”. They will then be required to enter their roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security pin.
After submitting the details, the digital marksheet will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to download and save a copy of the marksheet for future reference.
