GUWAHATI: A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight carrying 229 passengers returned to Goa and made an emergency landing at Manohar International Airport on Tuesday morning, September 1, after a technical issue was detected in one of its engines, according to reports.

IndiGo flight 6E 2102 took off from Manohar International Airport in Mopa, North Goa, at around 9:15 AM. The aircraft turned back shortly after take-off and landed safely at the airport around 45 minutes later.
All passengers disembarked safely and were accommodated in the boarding area.
The flight was operated by an Airbus A321 aircraft with registration VT-ILZ. According to IndiGo, the pilots followed standard operating procedures after the technical issue was detected and informed the relevant authorities before returning to the airport.
An IndiGo spokesperson said, “A technical issue was detected, shortly after takeoff on IndiGo flight 6E 2102 operating from North Goa to Delhi today. Following the standard operating procedure, the relevant authorities were informed, and the pilots turned back and landed the aircraft safely at Manohar International Airport.”
The airline said the aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks and will resume operations after securing the necessary clearances.
The flight's departure for Delhi has been rescheduled for 3:30 PM, subject to aircraft clearance and operational requirements.
