Travellers have complained of disruptions while making calls and using mobile data, with the issue reportedly affecting across multiple telecom operators.

Passengers have also raised concerns over the airport’s free Wi-Fi service, alleging poor connectivity.

“Even the airport free Wi-Fi is bad and provides very poor connectivity,” one passenger complained.

The issue has raised concerns as the airport is a key aviation hub for the Northeast, where reliable connectivity is essential for passengers.

The new terminal, built at a cost of nearly ₹4,000 crore, has been designed to handle around 1.3 crore passengers annually.

While mobile network coverage depends on telecom operators and indoor signal conditions, persistent connectivity issues at a modern airport raise questions about the overall digital infrastructure and passenger experience at the facility.
