India-Born KGP12 Gives Birth to Four Cheetah Cubs at Kuno National Park


 

GUWAHATI: An India-born female cheetah, KGP12, has given birth to four cubs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, marking a new development in India’s ongoing cheetah conservation programme.

The birth came a day after Project Cheetah completed four years, adding four more cubs to the country’s growing cheetah population.

Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav said on X, “A day after India's Cheetah Project completed four years, KGP12, an Indian-born female cheetah, has given birth to four cubs in Kuno.”

“Four years, four new lives—a beautiful symbol of hope, resilience and the growing success of cheetah conservation in India,” he said.
