Kamrup (M) Denies Ordering Guwahati Bars, Restaurants to Offer Pick-and-Drop Services


 

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (Metro) District Administration has dismissed reports claiming that bars and restaurants in Guwahati have been directed to provide pick-and-drop facilities for customers.

In a press note issued on Friday, August 7, the Office of the District Commissioner, Kamrup Metropolitan District, clarified that no such order or decision has been taken by the district administration.

"There is a news circulating that bars and restaurants have been ordered by District Administration, Kamrup (M) to provide pick up and drop off facilities to the customers," the notice stated.

"It is to clarify that no such order or decision has been taken by the District Administration Kamrup (M) in this regard," it added.

 The administration has urged the public to disregard such misinformation.
