The student, identified as Gandip Lahon Sarma, was found dead inside his family’s official quarters on Sunday, prompting questions over the circumstances surrounding his death.

According to police sources, Gandip was alone in his room and studying when the incident occurred. His parents had reportedly stepped out briefly to drop his younger brother at music tuition. When they returned, they found the teenager dead.

“He was very studious,” a police source said. “We have learnt that he frequently used to speak about his dream of studying in London.”

The deceased student, according to sources, did not stood up to his own expectations.

The notes reportedly read, “Thank you for everything you did till now,” and “And sorry for everything I did till now.”

However, police have not yet conclusively established the authorship of the notes. A forensic team is comparing the handwriting with samples from Gandip’s school notebooks to determine whether the notes were written by him.

“The forensic team will confirm whether the notes found were written by him,” a police official said.

The incident initially led to speculation that someone may have entered the residence and assaulted the student. Investigators subsequently recovered two handwritten notes from his pocket.

Further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death.
