GUWAHATI: Basistha Police on Monday, April 27 apprehended a suspect in a shop theft case and recovered the stolen property.

The incident occurred at JM Tea Corner in Beltola, where a miscreant broke open the shop’s lock at around 3:35 am and stole a stand fan.
Acting on technical analysis and source-based inputs, police traced the accused and apprehended him from Natun Bazar. He has been identified as Irfan Ali (32), a resident of Churaibari in Tripura.
The stolen item has been recovered and seized, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused.
