The controversy surrounding NEET-UG 2026 emerged after investigators reportedly found evidence that a so-called “guess paper” had been circulated among aspirants weeks before the examination and allegedly contained questions closely matching the actual paper.
According to investigators, the document reportedly included around 410 questions and was circulated among students between 15 days and a month before the May 3 examination. Officials further stated that nearly 120 Chemistry questions allegedly matched the actual NEET-UG 2026 paper exactly.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has since expanded its probe and is now investigating a possible insider role in the leak. With the number of arrests rising to seven, investigators are examining whether the alleged leak originated from within the secure chain of custody prior to the examination.
