According to police, the accused had allegedly procured the TET question papers from Delhi and were planning to sell them in a deal valued at around ₹1.5 crore.
Acting on a tip-off, the Bhiwandi Police laid a trap and intercepted the suspects before the alleged transaction could take place. The arrested individuals have been identified as Rajiv Shaw and Akash Kumar, both residents of Bihar, and Dheeraj Singh a resident of Haryana.
During the operation, police seized four sets of TET question papers, along with mobile phones and cash from the accused.
Officials of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) later examined the recovered documents and confirmed that the seized papers matched the original question papers prepared for the examination.
Following the verification, a case was registered at Bhiwandi Police Station, and an investigation has been launched to determine the source of the leak and identify others who may be involved in the alleged racket.
