GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday, July 10, said singer Zubeen Garg's portrait can be painted, but not in the style of Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara.

Speaking on the controversy surrounding a recently erased mural, Sarma said Zubeen should instead be portrayed in the same style as Assamese icons Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Bishnu Rabha and Bhupen Hazarika, as he deserves similar respect.
"Zubeen's portrait can be drawn, but not in the style of Che Guevara. It can be drawn in the same style as Jyoti Prasad, Bishnu Rabha and Bhupen Hazarika, so that Zubeen also gets the respect he deserves," the Chief Minister said.
