Speaking to the media, Paul said the administration has finalized plans to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for the lakhs of devotees expected to attend the revered religious gathering.

As part of the arrangements, temporary accommodation camps for pilgrims will be established at two locations this year—one near Pandu Port and another at Kamakhya Railway Station. These camps are being set up to provide convenience and support to devotees arriving from different parts of the country.

The District Commissioner stated that all plans regarding the location of camps and other essential facilities have been completed. The administration is also working on transportation, crowd management, sanitation, and other logistical requirements ahead of the event.

Paul further informed that detailed public advisories, transportation plans, and necessary instructions for pilgrims will be issued after June 15.

The Ambubachi Mela, one of the largest religious congregations in Northeast India, is scheduled to commence on June 22 at Kamakhya Dham in Guwahati.
