GUWAHATI: Three young women were killed in a tragic road accident in Guwahati’s Mathgharia area in the early hours of Sunday, April 26, at around 4 a.m.

Speaking to GPlus, an official from Noonmati Police Station said that the incident occurred near the entrance of a hospital where a truck had been parked along the roadside. A speeding car crashed into the parked truck with tremendous force.
The collision proved fatal, and three young women present inside the four-wheeler vehicle lost their lives due to the severity of the impact.
The driver of the vehicle fled immediately after the accident and remains at large. Police have initiated a search operation to locate and apprehend him.
The bodies have been sent to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem examination.
Authorities have identified two of the deceased as Puja Saha, a resident of Goalpara, and Akanksha Saikia, who was reportedly working at Royal Global University and hailed from Sapekhati in Assam's Charaideo district. The identity of the third victim is yet to be ascertained.
