GUWAHATI: A fatal road accident involving a Green Bus claimed the lives of two 19-year-old men in Guwahati's Fancy Bazar area on Friday evening, July 3.

The deceased have been identified as Akash Boro and Jyotirmay Das, both aged 19.
According to local residents, the two were travelling on a scooty when a Green Bus allegedly rammed their vehicle from behind, causing both riders to fall onto the road. Akash Boro died on the spot after being crushed under the bus.
Jyotirmay Das sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries overnight.
Eyewitnesses alleged that the bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
According to latest updates, the bus driver has been apprehended and is currently in police custody.
