GUWAHATI: A total of 25 candidates have filed 35 nomination papers for the Nagaon Parliamentary Constituency by-election 2026, with Wednesday, September 16, being the last day for filing nominations.

Among those who filed nomination papers are Devasish Sharma of the BJP, Md. Badruddin Ajmal of the AIUDF, Sibamoni Bora of the Congress and Abdul Salam of the AITC.
The nomination papers will be scrutinised on September 18. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is September 19.
The final list of candidates will be known after the scrutiny and withdrawal process is completed.
