GUWAHATI: The Assam government has announced the free issuance of duplicate board examination documents for students affected by the recent floods in Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat districts, offering relief to those who lost important academic records during the disaster.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday, July 29, said the notification for the special relief measure has been issued, a day after he announced the decision.
"As I announced yesterday, the notification has been issued for the free issuance of duplicate admit cards, marksheets and other documents to flood-affected students in the four districts," the Chief Minister posted on X.
He also said that students will not be required to submit a police report to obtain the duplicate documents.
"No police report is required. A self-declaration will suffice," Sarma added.
According to the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), duplicate Pass Certificates, Admit Cards, Marksheets and Registration Cards related to the HSLC, AHM and Higher Secondary Final examinations will be issued free of cost as a temporary special relief measure for flood-affected students in the four districts.
The decision was taken in view of the extensive damage caused by the recent floods, which resulted in many students losing their essential educational documents.
Students seeking duplicate HSLC and AHM documents can apply through the SEBA Services Portal ( while those requiring Higher Secondary examination documents can submit their applications through the AHSEC Portal (
Instead of a police report, applicants must upload a self-declaration stating that they are flood-affected and that their original documents were lost in the floods.
