GUWAHATI: Fifty aspiring medical students from Sonitpur, Darrang, Biswanath and Udalguri districts will be selected for 100% free residential NEET coaching under an initiative by the Parmanand Indumati Singhal Foundation in association with Sai Vikash.

The programme will be open to Class XII pass-outs and dropout students from the four districts, with selected candidates receiving free coaching and residential facilities for their NEET preparation.
Speaking to the media, Assam Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education & Research Ashok Singhal said, “A total of 50 students will be selected, and they will be provided with free residential coaching for NEET.”
The entrance test is scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 11, at 11 am across five examination centres.
The centres are Lokd College in Dhekiajuli, Darrang College in Tezpur, Mangaldai College in Mangaldai, Biswanath College in Biswanath Chariali and Udalguri College in Udalguri.
The selection examination will be conducted by the Sai Vikash Foundation. The initiative is being introduced on an initial basis, with plans for continuation and possible expansion to other parts of Assam depending on its outcome.
The programme aims to provide students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with access to NEET coaching and residential support, allowing them to prepare for the medical entrance examination without the financial burden of coaching and accommodation.
