Assam Election Results 2026: BJP’s Biswajit Daimary Leads in Tamulpur Against UPPL’s Pramod Boro After Four Rounds


 

GUWAHATI: Data from the ongoing counting of votes in the Assam Assembly elections show that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gained an edge in the Tamulpur constituency. BJP candidate Biswajit Daimary is currently leading over United People’s Party, Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Boro after the completion of four rounds of counting.

As per the latest figures, Daimary, the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, has secured 20,436 votes, establishing a lead of 8197 votes over his rival, who has garnered 12,239 votes so far.

In the same constituency, Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Rafel Daimary has garnered 4,451 votes while Nabajit Sarania of the Gana Suraksha Party has secured 432 votes. On the other hand, 526 voters have chosen the NOTA (None of the Above) option.
