GUWAHATI: A road accident was reported on the Bhangagarh Flyover in Guwahati late on Tuesday night, May 26, after a speeding car collided with another four-wheeler from behind.

According to initial reports, the driver of the vehicle was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The impact of the crash left him critically injured, and he was immediately shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for medical treatment.
Two other occupants, including a young woman and another youth, were also travelling in the car when the accident took place.
Police officials who reached the spot recovered several liquor bottles from inside the vehicle. The condition of the other passengers is yet to be officially confirmed.
Further investigation is underway.
