GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) carried out an eviction drive beneath the Ulubari Flyover on Friday, July 3, to remove unauthorised encroachments and reclaim public space.

According to the civic body, the drive was undertaken to restore public areas for the benefit of residents and ensure that the space remains accessible and free from illegal occupation.
GMC stated that such initiatives help improve traffic movement, enhance pedestrian safety and promote a cleaner, more organised urban environment.
The corporation reiterated its commitment to keeping public spaces safe, accessible and free from encroachments through regular enforcement drives across the city.
