GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet on Sunday, October 4, approved a 12% reservation for Assam-domiciled Ex-Agniveers in recruitment to 11 categories of posts across various state departments and services.

The reservation will apply to recruitment in Assam Police, Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Guards and the Excise Department, among other categories.
In another decision, the Cabinet approved ₹10 crore for infrastructure development at the Assam Regimental Centre.
The decisions were taken during the Assam Cabinet meeting held on Sunday, October 4.
