The accused have been identified as Asminur Mia (24), a resident of Bohori, and Rustom Ali (56), from Sipajhar. A third accused, Aktar Ali of Beharbari, has been named as the supplier in the operation.

During the raid, police recovered and seized a massive haul of 47.38 kg of ganja, along with two mobile handsets believed to have been used by the accused to coordinate the illegal trade.

According to police, investigations revealed that Aktar Ali had allegedly been using his shop as a front to supply ganja, raising concerns about the use of local commercial establishments to mask trafficking operations in the area.

Legal action has been initiated against all three arrested individuals, police said.

The bust adds to a series of recent operations by Guwahati Police targeting drug trafficking networks across the city, as authorities continue to intensify their crackdown on the sale and distribution of narcotics in the region.
