GUWAHATI: A young man’s body which was recovered near Lok Bhawan in Guwahati’s Uzan Bazar area in a water tank was a murder, DCP Central Shambhavi Mishra told reporters on Monday, June 1.

“It was clearly a case of murder. The victim was hit on his head with some sharp object,” the senior police official said.
Two suspects have been arrested. The DCP said they were identified as Hemen Sharma and Suman Kalita, both employees of GMC.
“There had been some fight between them but it was not a pre planned murder,” she said, ruling any motive behind the homicide.
The body was recovered near Lok Bhawan in Guwahati’s Uzan Bazar area on Thursday, May 28. The deceased was identified as Kamesh Jinmi, a resident of the Morakhali area in Paltan Bazar.
