GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued rainfall and thunderstorms across Guwahati over the next seven days, with moderate to heavy rain expected during parts of Monday and intermittent showers likely throughout the week.

According to the weather bulletin issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Guwahati, the city is expected to witness generally cloudy skies with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers during the daytime on July 20.
However, rainfall intensity is likely to increase from 8:30 PM on Monday until 8:30 AM on Tuesday, when moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers are forecast.
For July 21 to July 25, the IMD has predicted generally cloudy skies with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers each day.
On July 26, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
The forecast comes as the city continues to experience monsoon conditions, with authorities urging residents to remain cautious during periods of heavy rainfall, especially in low-lying and waterlogging-prone areas.
The IMD has advised the public to stay updated with official weather bulletins as rainfall intensity may vary across different parts of the city.
