GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a week of generally cloudy weather with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in Guwahati over the next seven days.

According to the weather bulletin issued at 8:30 AM on July 27, the city is expected to witness partly to generally cloudy skies with light rain or thunderstorms during the day. From the afternoon onwards, one or two spells of light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers are likely.
For the night, the IMD has predicted generally cloudy skies with one or two spells of light rain or thundershowers.
The forecast for July 28 and 29 indicates generally cloudy skies with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
On July 30, the city is expected to remain generally cloudy with a few spells of rain or thundershowers.
Similar conditions are likely to continue on July 31 and August 1, with generally cloudy skies and one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
For August 2, the IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
Residents have been advised to remain alert for brief periods of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning while planning outdoor activities.
