Ri Sai, a new stopover along the Guwahati-Shillong highway in Nongpoh, brings together dining, accommodation, local crafts and Meghalaya’s textile heritage at a single destination.
The property includes the Ri Sai Restaurant, Ri Sai Home Stays, the Ri Sai Emporium and the Integrated Textile & Tourism Centre (ITTC), developed by the Government of Meghalaya’s Textile Department.
The ITTC focuses on Meghalaya’s textile traditions, with particular emphasis on Eri silk, a naturally spun, non-violent fibre that has long been part of the textile traditions of Northeast India and is GI-tagged. Visitors can learn about the making of Eri silk, from raw fibre to finished textile, while gaining an insight into the traditional skills involved in the process.
The adjoining Ri Sai Emporium offers a range of crafts and products from Meghalaya, including Eri silk textiles, bamboo crafts, Larani pottery, Lakadong turmeric, wooden artefacts and other locally sourced and GI-tagged products.
The ITTC also features a dedicated conference room for meetings, workshops, presentations and private gatherings. The Ri Sai Emporium also houses Slasha, a luxury tea brand and a recent addition to the CPGE Hospitality portfolio, offering teas such as Bai Mudan, Oolong, Green and Black tea.
The Ri Sai Restaurant offers indoor dining as well as outdoor seating overlooking the hills of Nongpoh. Its menu combines Meghalayan dishes with familiar favourites from across India, catering to travellers seeking local cuisine as well as those looking for a convenient meal during their journey between Guwahati and Shillong.

For travellers looking to stay overnight, Ri Sai Home Stays offers cottages and apartments equipped with amenities including Wi-Fi, room service, television and outdoor seating.
The Lawn View Cottage features two bedrooms, a living and dining room, a separate family den, and outdoor spaces including a patio, gazebo and lawn. The Garden View Rooms offer a more intimate accommodation option, with rooms opening towards the surrounding greenery and private outdoor dining spaces.
