GUWAHATI: A water pipeline near Guwahati Club burst again on Friday, September 11, days after a similar incident was reported at the same location, leaving residents without water supply.

According to residents, the pipeline first burst on Monday. Following the incident, officials from the Guwahati Jal Board visited the spot and repaired the leakage by filling the affected area with soil.
However, the pipeline burst again on Friday, with residents claiming that the leakage this time was more severe than the previous incident.
Residents said they have been without water supply since Monday and have lodged complaints with the authorities, but have not received any response so far.
The fresh burst has also affected nearby shops. One shop owner said the shop was completely flooded due to the water leakage.
Residents have raised questions over the quality of the repair work carried out by the Jal Board and demanded that the authorities address the issue at the earliest and find a permanent solution to prevent such incidents from recurring.
