Suspected Drug Peddler Held With Heroin Vials, Car and Phones in Guwahati’s Palashbari


 

GUWAHATI: A suspected drug peddler, who was also wanted in a theft case, was arrested by Palashbari Police with 41 suspected heroin vials weighing 47.28 grams, a four-wheeler, and four mobile phones seized from his possession.

The accused has been identified as 27-year-old Idul Ali of Bongora Jagalia under the jurisdiction of Palashbari Police Station. 

Police said he was apprehended on Dakhin Kamrup College Road while allegedly attempting to sell illicit substances.

According to police, the seizure was conducted following all procedures laid down under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Officials said the operation was part of Assam Police’s ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking across the state.

Police further stated that the accused was also wanted in connection with a separate theft case registered at Palashbari Police Station.
