GUWAHATI: The 13th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2026 will be held at the Assam Rifle and Shooting Association’s shooting range at the 4th APBn Complex in Kahilipara, Guwahati, from August 25 to 30.

Hosted by the Assam Rifle and Shooting Association under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), the championship will bring together athletes representing nine states and units, including Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, the Army Marksmanship Unit and the Assam Rifles Marksmanship Unit.
The NRAI has confirmed Guwahati as the venue for the championship.
According to the organisers, 312 athletes, comprising 210 men and 102 women, are expected to participate in the competition.
The championship will feature events in 10m air pistol and air rifle, 25m sports pistol, standard pistol and centre fire pistol, 50m three-position rifle, prone rifle, free pistol and trap shooting.
Athletes will compete across several categories, including youth, junior, senior, masters, senior masters, super masters, deaf men and women, and para categories.
The competitions will be conducted in accordance with ISSF rules and the NRAI Match Book.
The championship will conclude on August 30, with the closing ceremony scheduled for 6 pm.
