GUWAHATI: The Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat has officially notified that the Budget Session of the Sixteenth Assam Legislative Assembly will commence on July 6, 2026.

According to a notification issued on Thursday, June 11, the order was passed by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya under Article 174(1) of the Constitution of India, which empowers the Governor to summon the state legislature.
The order states that the Budget Session will begin at 9:30 AM on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Assembly Chamber in Dispur.
Further details regarding the duration of the session and the legislative agenda are expected to be announced in due course.
