The UGC-NET June 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to 30 across the country, with a re-test held on July 5 for certain subjects following issues reported in the original papers. The examination was conducted across 87 subjects to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions and admission to PhD programmes.
The NTA released the provisional answer keys and the objection window for 84 subjects on August 16. Candidates were allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key until August 18, following which the agency announced the results.
However, the results for English, Commerce and Sociology are not part of the current declaration. According to the NTA, examinations for these three subjects will be re-conducted as per the schedule announced by the agency.
