Zubeen Kshetra Echoes With ‘Mayabini’ Amid Zubeen Divas Tributes


 

GUWAHATI: ‘Mayabini’ echoed at Zubeen Kshetra on September 19 as people gathered to remember singer Zubeen Garg, with the three-day Zubeen Divas commemorative programme concluding today, a year after his death.

The popular song was among the musical tributes at the venue, where people remembered Zubeen in different ways. Some sang his songs, some offered prayers, while others played musical instruments. The tributes reflected the different ways in which people chose to remember the singer and his music.

The commemorative programme began on September 17, while cultural programmes were organised throughout the day on September 18, drawing people to the venue to pay tribute to Zubeen.

On September 19, Bhagawat Naam and other religious activities are being held throughout the day. A Bhaona performance is scheduled for the evening and is expected to begin around 6:30 PM and continue until approximately 9–9:30 PM.

The three-day programme has brought together people to remember Zubeen through music, prayer, cultural performances and other forms of tribute, a year after his death.
