Although the court had completed the succession certificate process on June 22, the certificate was formally handed over on Wednesday as Garima could not be present on the earlier date.
Receiving the documents, a visibly emotional Garima said, "As these documents come into my hands, I am reminded that everything we built, we built together, believing we would always be side by side. But now this responsibility alone brings me no peace. Moving forward, my sole focus will be to continue the work he started."
In a significant remark, Garima also indicated that not everyone around them had been trustworthy, suggesting that many things in their lives had been influenced and controlled by people in their inner circle. The statement hinted at deeper concerns about those who were close to the late singer during his lifetime.
However, reflecting her husband's selfless spirit, Garima affirmed that she would continue to put others before herself, just as Zubeen Garg had done throughout his life and career.
Zubeen Garg, one of Assam's most beloved cultural icons, left behind a legacy of music and public service that continues to resonate deeply across the Northeast and beyond. Garima's resolve to carry forward his work has been seen as a tribute to the values he stood for.
