GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) recently conducted an eviction drive at Colony Bazar in Kalapahar to remove encroachments from public spaces.

The drive was aimed at clearing unauthorised occupation of public areas to facilitate smoother traffic movement and safer pedestrian access in the locality.
The civic body said reclaiming encroached public spaces is part of efforts to make Guwahati more organised, accessible and citizen-friendly.
The drive is expected to help improve movement for both commuters and pedestrians in the busy Colony Bazar area.
