Speaking to the media ahead of Sarma’s swearing-in ceremony in Guwahati, Gadkari said the people of Assam have once again expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party by giving it a third consecutive mandate in the State.
“The faith shown by the people of Assam in the BJP government for the third time will certainly be respected. Assam will continue moving forward on the path of development,” he said.
Highlighting the Centre’s focus on infrastructure expansion in the State, the Union Minister said his ministry has lined up major projects aimed at boosting connectivity and economic growth across Assam.
“Projects worth nearly ₹2 lakh crore are currently in the pipeline under my ministry alone. These initiatives will play a vital role in making Assam more progressive, prosperous and economically strong,” he added.
Gadkari also expressed confidence that the new government would work towards fulfilling public expectations with a renewed emphasis on infrastructure, connectivity and overall development in the State.
