GUWAHATI: A man was killed in a road accident in Guwahati’s Jalukbari area overnight after a four-wheeler allegedly hit the scooter he was travelling on with his wife.

The deceased has been identified as Biswajit Kalita, a resident of Sipajhar in Darrang district.
Police said Biswajit was travelling towards Khanapara with his wife when the accident occurred.
The impact left Biswajit critically injured, and he later succumbed to his injuries.
“His wife is out of danger. She received minor injuries,” a police official said.
The couple had reportedly got married around seven months ago.
