The makers of the upcoming Assamese feature film Adrishyya officially announced that the suspense drama will release in theatres on November 20, during a press conference held in Guwahati on Friday, July 11.
The event marked the launch of the film's promotional campaign and was attended by the producers, director, writer, cast members and representatives of the media. Described as a psychological suspense drama, Adrishyya promises a gripping narrative packed with mystery, unexpected twists and emotional depth.
The film is directed and edited by National Award-winning filmmaker Samujjal Kashyap, while acclaimed playwright and screenwriter Rajdweep has written the story, screenplay and dialogues.
Adrishyya stars Tapan Das and Jatin Bora in lead roles, alongside Priyam Pallabee, Pranami Bora, Himangshu Prasad Das, and several other prominent actors. The makers also hinted at special appearances by well-known personalities.
The film is jointly produced by Sixth Sense Symphony, represented by Deepak Bajaj, Himangka Sarma, Nayanjit Das, Samudragupta Dutta and Nilakshi Sharma; Kadambari Connective, represented by Samujjal Kashyap; and JB Production, represented by Jatin Bora and Navanita Sharma.
The technical team includes cinematographer Saurav Banerjee, music composers Rupam Bhuyan and Rakesh Boro, colourist Gobinda Naskar, and sound designer Jyoti Chetia. The lyrics have been written by Rajdweep, with songs rendered by artists including Joi Barua, Rupam Bhuyan, Zublee Baruah, Neel Akash, Ereka and Rakesh Boro.
Addressing the media, the makers said the film aims to offer Assamese audiences an engaging suspense drama that combines entertainment with emotional storytelling. They expressed confidence that the film would keep viewers invested from start to finish.
The team also announced that the teaser, trailer, songs and other promotional content will be released in the coming months ahead of the film's theatrical release.
Adrishyya is slated to release in cinemas on November 20, 2026.
