GUWAHATI: A Basistha Police team arrested a man in connection with the theft of electrical items from an under-construction building at Saurav Nagar in Guwahati, police officials said on Saturday, May 30.

The accused has been identified as Pranab Deka (32), a resident of Nalbari district.
Officials said the theft took place on May 21 when several electrical and utility items were stolen from the construction site.
Law enforcement authorities recovered 15 bundles of copper wire, four water taps, and one LED light, all of which were suspected to have been stolen from the building. The stolen items were seized from the possession of the apprehended individual.
