Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the security forces and police launched an operation near the bypass road adjacent to Line No. 6 of Ledo Tea Estate.

The operation was conducted by a team of the 20 Assam Rifles battalion based at Tipong.

During the operation, the team intercepted two persons and seized 244.50 grams of suspected Heroin drugs from their possession.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Acho Wangsu, 31, a resident of Finbiro, and Jamir Ali, 30, from Ledo.

According to the preliminary investigation, the duo was allegedly using an unregistered pickup vehicle to transport the drugs.
