GUWAHATI: A young man from Guwahati has been reported missing, with his family claiming that he left behind a suicide note before disappearing on Tuesday evening, May 12.

According to an FIR filed at Bhangagarh Police Station, the youth, identified as Rithik Bajaj, was last seen near Janaki Library on Zoo Road at around 8:30 PM. Family members stated that he did not return home afterwards, prompting them to seek help from the police.
In the complaint submitted to police, the family mentioned that they had also recovered a handwritten note written by the missing youth. The note referred to financial stress, online harassment, and mental pressure. It also claimed that the youth had earlier approached cybercrime authorities regarding alleged threats and blackmail attempts.
Speaking to GPlus, the officer in-charge of Bhangagarh Police Station confirmed that a missing person case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated to trace the youth. Authorities are also examining the authenticity of the handwritten note as part of the inquiry.
Family members have appealed to the public to share any information that may help locate him. Police teams have begun searching in multiple areas and are verifying details related to his last known whereabouts.
