GUWAHATI: Acting on secret information, Dispur Police recently conducted a search at a homestay in Chachal, Guwahati, and recovered 506 grams of suspected heroin worth approximately ₹4 crore.

The announcement was made by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on X on Saturday, September 26.
According to Guwahati Police, the operation was carried out following specific intelligence inputs. During the search, the suspected narcotics were seized and six persons were apprehended.
The apprehended individuals are being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation to determine the source of the suspected heroin and its intended destination.
