According to the dhaba crew, the group demanded alcohol at the dhaba. Upon being told that alcohol was not served, they allegedly became aggressive and damaged property at the dhaba.

A member of the dhaba said they had stopped providing service early due to an uncontrolled inflow of customers.

“Unable to control the crowd, we stopped providing service at 9 PM,” the member said.

Visuals showed damage to the dhaba’s kitchen door, window, kitchen cabinet glass and CCTV monitor. The glow signboard was also defaced and a laptop was damaged.

The incident has raised concerns among local business owners and visitors gathering at Zubeen Khetra to pay tribute to the late cultural icon Zubeen Garg.

Locals have urged the authorities to maintain strict vigilance in the area to prevent such incidents and ensure a peaceful environment for fans arriving from across Assam.
