GUWAHATI: Mobile internet services were reportedly suspended in parts of Central Delhi on Monday as thousands of supporters of the youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) gathered at Jantar Mantar for the 'Chalo Sansad' march.

The suspension was reportedly enforced around sensitive areas, including Jantar Mantar and the Parliament vicinity, as authorities tightened security on the opening day of the Monsoon Session. Protesters were demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination paper leaks and seeking reforms in the education system.
Delhi Police had earlier stated that permission for the march towards Parliament had not been granted. Heavy security deployment, barricades, traffic restrictions and vehicle checks were put in place across the area.
Five Delhi Metro stations—Rajiv Chowk, Janpath, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth—were also closed as police blocked the protest march.
Meanwhile, activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has reportedly been on a hunger strike for over 20 days, remained at Safdarjung Hospital after being removed from Jantar Mantar. Several political leaders and public figures also joined the protest in support of the movement.
