GUWAHATI: The written examination for the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) levels will be held on June 28 for candidates of Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar mediums, according to an official notification issued by the authorities.

Admit cards for the examination will be released on June 12 at 11 AM and can be downloaded from the official website of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA). Candidates will need to log in using their application number and password generated during the online application process to access their hall tickets.
Officials have instructed candidates to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid government-issued photo identity card to the examination centre. Accepted identity documents include Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence and Voter ID Card.
Candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category must produce a valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority or the concerned District Commissioner. Authorities have advised such candidates to keep the required documents ready well before the examination date.
The notification also outlines strict guidelines regarding items allowed inside the examination hall. Mobile phones, smart watches, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, calculators, pen drives and all other electronic gadgets will be strictly prohibited. No facility will be provided at examination centres for storing such items.
Permitted articles include the admit card, valid photo ID, blue or black ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser, scale, a transparent water bottle without labels, one handkerchief, and limited personal belongings such as a debit or credit card and a small amount of cash.
Candidates have been advised to carefully read all instructions mentioned on the admit card and follow them to avoid inconvenience on the day of the examination.
