From a Northeast perspective, the resolution highlighted the government’s focus on peace, stability and development in the region, placing efforts to address insurgency and promote peace alongside its broader national security approach.

The resolution said action against Maoist terrorism and peace efforts in the Northeast reflected a leadership approach combining national resolve with development, stability and public trust.

The Cabinet resolution listed 10 major highlights of Modi’s leadership, covering development, welfare, reforms, self-reliance, technology, crisis management, national security, foreign policy, heritage and environmental responsibility.

Under national security, the resolution cited the 2016 surgical strikes, 2019 Balakot air strikes and 2025 Operation Sindoor as examples of the government’s security approach. It also mentioned the removal of Article 370, One Rank One Pension and the creation of the Chief of Defence Staff post.

The resolution also highlighted the government’s development initiatives, including infrastructure expansion, welfare delivery, digital payments, healthcare, women’s empowerment and support for vulnerable communities.

Tracing Modi’s journey from Gujarat to the national stage, the resolution said initiatives such as SWAGAT, which enabled citizens to raise grievances directly, later inspired the PRAGATI platform for monitoring projects and resolving implementation hurdles.

The Cabinet said the government’s focus on development had also resulted in large-scale welfare delivery, citing nearly 60 crore Jan Dhan accounts, more than four crore homes and the movement of 25 crore people out of poverty.

The resolution further highlighted the expansion of highways and railway electrification, growth in electronics and defence production, semiconductor manufacturing and increased public capital expenditure.

On technology, it pointed to initiatives such as Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and mobile connectivity, UPI, COVID-19 vaccine development and Chandrayaan-3’s landing near the Moon’s south pole.

The resolution also credited Modi’s leadership during major crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic and disruptions caused by the West Asia conflict, while highlighting India’s growing role in international forums such as the G20 and BRICS.
