GUWAHATI: A toll plaza employee and two occupants of a car were seriously injured after the vehicle reportedly lost control and rammed into the Raha toll gate on the Nagaon–Guwahati four-lane highway on Sunday, May 17.

The incident, captured on the toll plaza’s CCTV cameras, left toll employee Nipu Das seriously injured.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Raha Police Station said the car was reportedly travelling at high speed and did not have a registration number when it crashed into the toll barrier area while approaching the gate.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, the official added.
Police personnel rushed to the spot soon after the incident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Further investigation into the accident is underway.
